THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a fast-paced, high profile position, supporting the Vice President of Trade Sales. From administrative tasks, to sales reporting, this role works with every department within Trade and is perfect for a motivated, detail-oriented, and independent person who wants to learn about Children’s publishing. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and distribute weekly sales reports to Leadership team and distribute Bookscan reporting weekly.

  • Coordinate and plan three national sales conferences a year; including organizing and running a weekly meeting, creating agenda, organizing conference, maintaining attendee list, creating and distributing meeting materials, maintaining budget, etc.

  • Send agenda and notes for two Sales Review meetings a month—coordinate with VP Trade Sales.

  • Update terms of sales of sale, including meet comp agreements and stock offers. Create and distribute laydown contracts.

  • Communicate Sales feedback to publishers in monthly call reports. Field Publisher requests for sales data, business reviews, and partner with marketing on sales assets.

  • Maintain new rep set up and account coding in Oracle, approve invoices in Catalyst.

  • Administrative assistance for VP Trade Sales including calendar management, arranging business travel, managing expense reports, etc.
