Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
- Support the sales team throughout the advertising sales process for assigned accounts across Hearst Magazines’ portfolio of 30 brands, spanning print, digital, and social.
- Respond to inbound advertising requests and serve as a reliable liaison between Hearst clients and the sales team.
- Complete advertising RFPs accurately and efficiently, ensuring details and deadlines are carefully managed.
- Coordinate client-facing requests, including mass email communications, editorial credits, and other sales support needs.
- Partner with Business Managers to process insertion orders and maintain critical sales documentation and paperwork.
- Prepare competitive share-of-market reports and analyses to help the team identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
- Support client prospecting by monitoring trade media for relevant client news, industry developments, and potential opportunities.
- Manage monthly sales expenses and coordinate travel and other administrative needs for the team.
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
- 1+ year of experience in sales support, media, advertising, customer service, or a related environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to working with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated organization, resourcefulness, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivation and a collaborative mindset, with an interest in learning and growing within media, advertising, or sales.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and build positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
- This role is based in New York City and requires working in the office four days per week as part of our hybrid work model.

The base salary range for this role is $50,000-$53,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
