Position: Sales Assistant, HF

Department: Sales for Hydro Flask

Work Location: Bend, OR, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.

What you will be doing:

The Sales Assistant proactively supports the Sales Manager, ensuring that sales reps and retailers have a knowledgeable resource for information related to their specific channel of business.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for rep and retailer inquiries related to order management and Product Inquiries.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact to help resolve invoicing/credit card issues (where appropriate or as assigned by the Sales Manager).

  • Manage order entry and order revisions.

  • Identify, track and resolve order fulfillment issues and communicate to the appropriate cross functional team(s), account contacts and/or sales rep. Proactively communicate with reps/retailers any OOS concerns, suggestively selling and offering replacement UPC’s.

  • Manage the New Account Setup process for approved new accounts.

  • Set-up/drive Monthly meeting Recaps with Retailer and internal team

  • Coordinate with Marketing team and Sales & Operations Manager to update channel resources each season (scan guides, price lists, order forms, etc.)

  • Communicate seasonal marketing updates to sales reps (retail assets, digital marketing assets, SWAY, Salsify, etc.).

  • Provide current inventory and ad hoc reports as requested.

  • Identify opportunities for increasing sales; propose these opportunities to the Sales Manager.

  • Work with various shared services teams to resolve account issues (billing, vendor compliance, etc.).

  • Serve as a liaison between reps and retailers for customization orders within assigned channel.

  • Ensure data accuracy in Oracle, updating retailer and rep information as necessary.

  • Participate in other special projects or company initiatives as assigned.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • High level of customer service, teamwork and proactive problem solving.

  • Ability to effectively engage with all internal and external partners on matters of account support and selling.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree

  • 1 + year of experience in Customer Service (retail, sales, call center client-account support, etc.) or Account Management.

  • Demonstrated high level of customer service, teamwork and proactive problem solving.

  • Strong communication skills: verbal, written and listening skills.

  • Proficiency using MS Office: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to effectively engage with all internal and external stakeholders on matters of account support and selling.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Experience with Oracle ERP System or similar system.

  • Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) systems experience.
