Objective:
Heffernan Insurance Brokers is seeking a Sales Assistant to join its Commercial Lines team. The primary responsibility of this role is to support Producers in developing and implementing new business research, marketing, and other strategies to increase sales productivity. Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate and maintain appointment calendar.
- Coordinate meetings and events with external and internal personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality of all duties assigned by Producer.
- Submit monthly expense reports for Producers, or as necessary.
- Maximize the use of Sales and other software platforms as necessary.
- Prepare claims analysis reports.
- Gather underwriting information and assist with carrier submissions.
- Assist in completing new business applications and accords.
- New business marketing to include:
- Develop, cross-reference, and research prospect lists
- Emphasis on x-dates, carrier, broker, number of employees, number of locations, decision makers, and more necessary information
- Upload prospects and help manage the Sales database
- Outreach management and email campaigns
- Help manage mailers, in-person, and other marketing campaigns
- Help plan routes for drop-offs
- Develop, cross-reference, and research prospect lists
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education – High School graduate/GED required.
- Must have experience working in a team environment.
- Minimum of 2 years working in an office environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must be organized and able to manage time and multiple projects effectively.
- Professional demeanor and behavior required.
- Must embody the Heffernan Habits as illustrated herein.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to 70,000.00. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role will be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Working Conditions:
- Work environment is indoors, sitting at a desk or standing for extended periods of time.
- Daily use of computers, keyboard, mouse, headset, printers, and other commonly used office equipment.
- This position may require flexibility to work hours outside of a regular schedule.
