As a Sales & Application Specialist – SUR, you will play a key role in driving the growth of ZEISS Surgical Ophthalmology solutions in the Southern region. This position combines business development, clinical application support, and customer training, working closely with hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals to deliver optimal clinical outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the SUR business in alignment with OPT and company objectives
Identify market opportunities through market mapping, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, KOLs, hospitals, and clinics
Manage sales forecasting, tender preparation, and major project bidding within assigned territory
Monitor sales performance, market share, and revenue targets, and implement corrective actions when needed
Application & Clinical Support
Deliver high-quality product demonstrations, application training, and clinical support to customers
Support customers pre- and post-sales to optimize clinical workflows and outcomes
Develop and deliver structured application training programs for customers and internal sales teams
Act as a clinical expert, providing troubleshooting and solutions based on product and procedural knowledge
Stay up to date with product features, clinical applications, and competitive solutions
Customer Engagement & Marketing Support
Conduct regular customer visits independently and with distributors
Support marketing activities such as workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and training events
Collect and report market intelligence including customer insights, competitor activity, and market trends
Drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term partnerships
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Service, Product, and other internal teams
Share market insights and best practices to support overall business success
Coach and support less experienced colleagues when required
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Pharma, or related fields
1–3 years of experience in sales and/or application roles (medical devices preferred)
Experience or strong interest in ophthalmology is a plus
Strong communication, presentation, and customer-oriented mindset
Good command of spoken and written English
