Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a new colleague to join the professional, active, courageous Renewable gas division of Ignitis, where you’ll be focusing on developing and supplying sustainable products to our end clients. Joining this team, will open an opportunity to participate in European and national renewable gas markets, develop biomethane as a sustainable substitute for natural gas and much more. You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by:
- Originating, structuring and executing biomethane purchase and sales transactions across European markets
- Developing and managing a commercial biomethane portfolio, including B2B sales to national industrial, transport and energy consumers
- Negotiating and concluding Biomethane Purchase Agreements (BPAs) with producers, traders and end-users
- Supporting the development and improvement of renewable gas wholesale products, including cross-border supply solutions
- Managing mass balancing principles, guarantees of origin and sustainability certification schemes (e.g. ISCC)
- Monitoring and assessing EU renewable gas regulation (RED III, FuelEU Maritime, related national implementations) and translating regulatory changes into commercial opportunities
- Coordinating biomethane import and export processes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with producers, traders, infrastructure operators and internal stakeholders
- University degree in Economics, Business Management, Energy, Sustainability or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in renewable energy, gas trading, B2B energy sales, environmental commodities or a related commercial role
- Good understanding of renewable gas markets, B2B energy sales models and decarbonisation products
- Experience negotiating commercial contracts and managing customer portfolios
- Fluent English (working proficiency required)
- Ability to combine trading, origination and customer-focused commercial thinking
