Position Purpose:

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Sales-Marketing Representative conducts sales activities and implements strategies to increase the membership (consumers) of Mount Carmel Health Plan's (MCHP's) Medicare Advantage insurance products (HMOs/PPOs). 

  

What You Will Do: 

  • Sales territory development through the use of key senior and community contacts, enhancing ways to heighten the awareness of MCHP products within the community. 

  • Responsibility for all aspects of daily sales operations within the territory including but not limited to monthly educational meetings, special events, sales seminars and telesales activity. 

  • Ensure compliance of all aspects of personal sales activities with internal policies, CMS, Ohio Department of Insurance, NCQA and all applicable Federal regulations. 

  • Routinely report sales activities, problem issues, targeted resolutions to problems and their status. 

  • Timely follow-up through with all leads for purposes of sales closures over the phone, in office and during external consumer engagements. 

  • Participate in routine and documented staff meetings to cover sales issues, goals, questions, education, job assignments and other duties related to continued quality improvement and strategies to optimize sales.  

  

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in marketing, nursing, social work, education or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. 

  • Active State Insurance License (Health/Disability). 

  • Prior to starting, candidates must have passed the state license exam for Accident and Health Insurance and within the following 30 days obtain full licensure status. 

  • Experience: Experience with governmental agencies and regulations, especially Medicare and CMS. 

  • Effective Communication Skills.

Skills Required
