Job Summary

Title: Civil Construction Products - Sales Account Manager

Location: Home based, metropolitan area in Midwest

As the Sales Account Manager, you will transform the construction and industrial landscape by representing industry-leading specialty products:

  • Sewpercoat®: Revolutionary corrosion-resistant solution for wastewater infrastructure

  • Fondag®: Premium heat-resistant industrial concrete for steel mills and refineries

Your mission is to drive revenue growth through direct sales to construction companies, municipalities, and industrial facilities across your assigned territory. Full line of Calcium Aluminate cement materials offering superior installed benefits including severe corrosion resistance, abrasive resistance, heat resistance, structural restoration, etc. Products can be gunned or sprayed, pour formed, or hand applied. Underground utilities for sewer, water and other corrosive materials. 

Industries served include public works, wastewater, water, abrasive storm water outfalls, foundries, furnaces, chemical and petroleum processing, paper, mining and aerospace applications.  

Summary:

  • Drive business development & market development within the geographical scope for Infrastructure business - Wastewater/Utilities, Civil Engineering, Industrial Applications, DOT/Roads and Pavement 

  • Key local resource to represent Imerys’ Infrastructure segment in all business dimensions

  • Desired background in construction or engineering field as Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager, Municipal Employee, Estimator, Distributor Sales, etc.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare budget, sales plans and forecasts for assigned perimeter. Review sales performance against targets.

  • Execute the commercial roadmaps developed for their segment or products or geography and liaise with marketing teams for all this

  • Coordinate effectiveness of sales and development strategies including ensuring appropriate analysis and action plans are in place

  • Apply business routines that are servicing existing customer base at (or surpassing) expectations and developing new growth opportunities in each circuit and market segment

  • Identify sales development targets, elaborate and implement appropriate development strategy 

  • Help / Negotiate contracts with customers. Work with the legal department to prepare the contract. Ensure contract follow up

  • Implement actions requested by Customers through the visit reports

  • Implement the pricing strategy in coordination with the area sales manager

  • Coordinate activities with Technical Support Manager for Infrastructure customers, according to agreed yearly objectives

  • Ensure relevant impact of technical presentations, job site trials and development projects

  • Manage market intelligence through the CRM tool on its perimeter

  • Support claim management (Smiles)

  • Proven track record in Sales & Account Management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as negotiation capabilities


Education/Experience requirements:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering (preferred)

  • Experience working in the construction & infrastructure fields including public works, wastewater, water, abrasive storm water outfalls, foundries, furnaces, chemical and petroleum processing, paper, mining and aerospace applications. 

  • 7 years experience working in a relevant industry

  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%, depending on location)
