Bay Insulation Supply of L.A., a division of CWCI Insulation of L.A., Inc., is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team.

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for growing sales of insulation, adhesives, and HVAC products by developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing knowledgeable product solutions that meet customer needs.

This role combines relationship-building, technical product knowledge, business development, and sales strategy. The Sales Account Manager will work closely with customers and internal teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, close sales, and achieve established revenue and sales goals. The position will also contribute to marketing initiatives, market planning, and the development of sales programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new and existing business opportunities.
  • Research and identify potential customers and new markets.
  • Follow up on sales leads and proactively develop new leads.
  • Make regular sales calls and customer visits to build relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts that generate new business.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and factors affecting target markets.
  • Evaluate the marketability of products and services based on customer and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with sales support and internal teams to ensure effective communication and follow-through on customer opportunities.

Sales Presentations & Customer Solutions

  • Develop and deliver sales and marketing proposals for technical products and services.
  • Present product solutions to customers and end users.
  • Develop and conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops as appropriate.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry activities, trends, and applicable government regulations.
  • Build strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.
  • Negotiate and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
  • Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals.
  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows and other industry events as directed by the company.

Sales Forecasting & Planning

  • Research, develop, and maintain short- and long-term sales and marketing plans.
  • Monitor sales activity and market conditions to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and plans for review and approval by the General Manager.
  • Maintain awareness of company strategic plans and procedures to ensure sales and marketing activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate sales activity and results through weekly call reports.
  • Provide market and customer feedback to support product and service planning.

Communication & Teamwork

  • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Communicate openly, honestly, and constructively.
  • Treat customers and colleagues with dignity, respect, and courtesy.
  • Take ownership of communication or relationship concerns and make every reasonable effort to resolve issues professionally.
  • Seek and share information necessary to effectively perform job responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

Customary travel, food, and lodging expenses provided by the company

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Two years’ experience in Sales required

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Coaching/mentoring experience with less senior sales staff
  • A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends
  • Ability to travel up to 80%
