Job Summary

 

The Sales Account Manager drives day-to-day sales execution for both the retail and commercial Richlawn and Revive. This role owns ordering and inventory coordination, leads the merchandising team’s field execution, supports sales/marketing coverage, and partners on product development and business development initiatives to fuel sustained market growth

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Own Big Box weekly ordering, including coordinating ordering/inventory needs for expansion stores
  • Monitor store inventory and in-stock performance; proactively address stockouts/overstocks with ordering adjustments and internal follow-up.
  • Manage end-to-end order processing for the commercial customer base (accuracy, timing, issue resolution).
  • Gather and synthesize commercial customer needs to support fertilizer formulation and ongoing product improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics to align product availability, lead times, and delivery expectations across channels.
  • Lead the local and regional merchandising team by setting priorities, scheduling annual set-ups, providing direction, and ensuring timely follow-through on assigned work.
  • Ensure consistent retail execution standards (shelf conditions, displays, pricing/signage accuracy, and overall merchandising readiness).
  • Provide sales coverage support to Sales Manager, as needed, including customer follow-up, problem-solving, and coordination of next steps.
  • Support marketing input and execution guidance (retail/distributor support materials, promotions, and local/regional initiatives).
  • Partner on new product formulation initiatives aligned to the long-term product suite and market requirements.
  • Help lead business development initiatives to drive continuous market growth and expansion (new stores, new distributors, new regions).
  • Track and communicate operational performance and key issues, recommending process improvements to increase efficiency and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of sales experience in fertilizer or related industries
  • Proven track record of account management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of fertilizer regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fertilizer or agricultural input sales
  • Knowledge of the regional agricultural market
  • Experience with CRM software

Work Environment


This position involves a mix of office-based work and frequent travel within the assigned region. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods while interacting with customers and performing various tasks. Some lifting of light objects (up to 50 lbs.) may be necessary. The Organix Sales Account Manager must be comfortable presenting to groups, attending agricultural events, and adapting to different work environments when visiting farms or customer locations. Travel is a significant aspect of this role, requiring flexibility and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple accounts and locations.
