The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships, generating sales opportunities, supporting account growth, and coordinating customer needs with internal departments. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and works closely with production, planning, quality and shipping teams to ensure accurate quoting, timely delivery, and high customer satisfaction. The Sales Account Manager is detail-oriented, responsive, commercially minded, and capable of managing multiple customer accounts in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

DGH is a leading manufacturer of technical textiles, fabrics and yarns used in the appliance industry, industrial markets, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers through proactive communication and account support.
  •  Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns, lead follow-up and market research.
  • Prepare and manage customer quotations, pricing proposals and product information.
  • Process customer orders accurately and monitor the order status through production and shipment.
  • Coordinate with production planning, scheduling and operations teams regarding lead times, inventory availability and delivery commitments.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, specifications, lead times, inventory availability and delivery commitments.
  • Support outside sales personnel with account management, reporting, samples and customer communications.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity and forecast data within the ERP/CRM systems.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns, quality issues or shipment discrepancies in collaboration with the quality and operations teams.
  • Monitor market trends, customer demand and competitor activity.
  • Participate in sales meetings and customer visits as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, quality standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field, or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of inside sales, customer service and/or account management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Textile industry experience, a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of ERP, CRM and the Microsoft Office suite.

SKILLS:

  • Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE, CLASSIFICATION & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • This is an on-site, full-time, exempt position.
  • The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch.
  • Departmental demands may necessitate additional work outside of the standard working hours.

POSITION TYPE:

This role is an individual contributor, someone who provides specialized work & expertise and contributes directly to the Organization’s success without managing other people.

TRAVEL:

This position requires occasional travel to customer sites and other Davlyn facilities.
