Who We Are Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in the logistics or supply chain industry, preferably in freight forwarding or integrated logistics.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders while building strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • A proactive sales mindset with the ability to consistently identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Sound knowledge of Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Rail, and Trucking products, with an understanding of integrated logistics solutions.
  • A customer-centric approach with the ability to understand business challenges and recommend value-driven solutions.
  • A self-motivated and results-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and can effectively navigate ambiguity and complex business situations.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (preferably Salesforce) and standard Microsoft Office applications will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and be accountable for the Freight Forwarding segment, driving sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Champion Maersk's vision of becoming the Integrator of Container Logistics by promoting integrated logistics solutions and digital products, including SPOT.
  • Manage the assigned customer portfolio and budget, while developing a strategic three-year account growth plan.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in line with organizational objectives.
  • Develop compelling customer value propositions tailored to business needs and market opportunities.
  • Adopt a consultative sales approach by understanding customer requirements, identifying pain points, and recommending value-added logistics solutions.
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of assigned accounts, including customer contacts, commodities, trade lanes, business models, contractual commitments, service requirements, and exceptions.
  • Research customer industries, market dynamics, and competitive trends to identify new business opportunities and strengthen customer engagement.
  • Establish and leverage strong internal networks within the India Cluster and global organization to facilitate timely resolution of customer issues and deliver seamless customer service.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Maersk's end-to-end logistics products and service offerings to provide integrated customer solutions.
  • Proactively communicate market trends, pricing updates, policy changes, and service developments to customers.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality customer information and sales activities in Salesforce CRM
  • Deliver customer profitability and revenue targets in line with approved budgets.
  •  Ensure successful customer onboarding, contract implementation, and ongoing compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Take ownership of both controlled and non-controlled business across multiple products and services, ensuring effective sales governance and commercial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships while continuously identifying opportunities to expand business and increase customer value.
