Purpose of the Role

Sales & Account Manager– Travel Sellers is responsible for driving strategic growth, increasing market share, and maximizing revenue across Amadeus' non-fully owned markets in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The role focuses on developing and executing commercial strategies, strengthening partnerships, expanding customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to accelerate growth across both Distribution and IT solutions.

Working closely with Partner ACO teams, the incumbent serves as a key commercial representative of Amadeus, ensuring alignment on sales initiatives, customer engagement, account development, and market expansion activities. The role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, consultative selling, stakeholder management, and business development expertise to deliver sustainable business results and position Amadeus as the preferred technology partner for travel sellers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Sales & Business Development

  • Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across assigned Southeast Asian markets.

  • Identify, pursue, and convert new commercial opportunities to expand Amadeus' customer base and market presence.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies, action plans, and go-to-market initiatives to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability objectives.

  • Identify and develop IT sales opportunities to support the achievement of assigned technology revenue targets.

  • Lead or support all stages of the sales cycle, including prospecting, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure.

  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, roadshows, and customer engagements to generate new sales opportunities and strengthen market visibility.

- Account Management & Customer Retention

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for key and strategic customers in collaboration with Partner ACO teams.

  • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.

  • Ensure customer retention, revenue growth, and increased share of wallet through proactive account development and consultative engagement.

  • Conduct regular business reviews and performance discussions with customers to identify growth opportunities and address challenges.

  • Develop tailored Account Development Plans (ADPs) and maintain accurate opportunity tracking within CRM systems.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience and business outcomes.

- Commercial & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key commercial interface between Amadeus and Partner ACO organizations, ensuring alignment on sales priorities and customer strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with Partner ACO commercial teams on customer engagements, negotiations, renewals, and business development initiatives.

  • Establish trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the travel industry, positioning Amadeus as the preferred strategic partner.

  • Support escalated customer requests and facilitate coordination between customers and internal teams to ensure timely resolutions.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Customer Solutions, Customer Success Management (CSM), Revenue Operations, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to deliver customer value and business objectives.

  • Support the development of business cases, commercial approvals, and market growth initiatives.

  • Contribute market intelligence, competitive insights, customer feedback, and industry trends to support product, solution, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Organize customer workshops, solution discovery sessions, and business reviews to identify and advance growth opportunities.

  • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across commercial teams to drive best practices and operational excellence.

- Operational Excellence & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, account information, and opportunity tracking.

  • Provide market insights and performance analysis to support revenue forecasting and business planning.

  • Ensure customers maximize value from Amadeus solutions while achieving agreed performance, productivity, and service objectives.

  • Remain informed on market developments, industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging customer needs to support strategic decision-making.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of sales and account management experience within a B2B environment, preferably in the travel, technology, or travel distribution industry.

  • Strong business development and consultative sales experience with a proven ability to drive revenue growth and build strategic customer relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations, customer acquisition, and account expansion.

  • Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, budgeting experience, and business case development capabilities.

  • Experience working with complex stakeholder environments and cross-functional teams.

  • Technical pre-sales or solution consulting experience is advantageous.

  • Excellent understanding of the travel ecosystem, travel distribution industry, and technology solutions within the travel sector.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural and geographically diverse environment across Southeast Asia.

  • Relevant degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Technology, or a related discipline; MBA preferred or relevant experience

  • Proficiency in both Thai and English is mandatory for effectively managing customers in the across Thailand and across diverse regions.
