POSITION: Sales Account Manager
DIVISION: Metrology and Analysis Systems Division (MAD)
COMPANY: Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. (“HTA”)
TRAVEL: Up to 75% (domestically and internationally)
LOCATION: Austin, Texas
REMOTE WORK: Customer Hybrid – Onsite - 60% / Remote – 40%
EXPECTED PAY RANGE: $121,673 - $167,301 annually
This pay range is for the position’s base pay only. This position may be eligible for other compensation including incentive pay and/or allowances. Candidates will receive additional information during the interview and selection process.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for every aspect of achieving revenue and earnings targets for their assigned sales accounts. This includes sales forecasting, planning, and developing strategies for future business. The SAM is responsible for the management of accounts, which includes oversight of sales, service, and technical support for all product lines. The SAM uses leadership skills to build strong and long-lasting customer relationships.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales growth and new product introductions
- Effectively document and report back on customer requirements and information obtained during meetings with customers
- Introduce new Hitachi products and develop sales plans
- Grow and maintain relationships at the management and executive levels that are of strategic importance to the company
- Represent the company to the customer and vice versa
- Attend account meetings where the Sales Account Manager will provide information on technology and present/demonstrate how the technology will meet the customer’s needs
- Within HTA, coordinate and drive the necessary communication and actions to secure sales and/or solve all customer-related difficulties
- Accurately forecast and achieve budget objectives
- Must be eligible for and receive company credit card
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, LICENSES, and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus
- Must have and retain valid driver’s license in resident state and must be insurable by HTA’s insurance company
EXPERIENCE and TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Five (5) years’ experience in the semiconductor industry
- Experience in sales and account management
- Demonstrated experience in large account management, including experience growing the business and experience with problem solving
- Up to 75% domestic and international travel (approximately 50% travel on average)
SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS / SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling capital equipment products including marketing strategies, sales techniques, and sales database systems
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with no supervision
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

- Strong sense of business objectives and a solid instinct on how to best implement those objectives
