Position Summary:
Wolfspeed is seeking a proactive and driven Sales Account Manager (open to entry-level candidates) to support sales execution and grow client relationships in the Korean market.
This role is ideal for individuals who are highly motivated, eager to learn, and enjoy actively engaging with customers in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong initiative, adaptability, and a passion for developing new business opportunities in the Automotive and Industrial & Energy sectors.
Responsibilities:
Sales Execution & Revenue Management
- Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly revenue targets through active engagement and execution of sales activities.
- Manage the end-to-end quotation process, including pricing negotiations, preparing commercial proposals, and finalizing general terms and conditions.
- Actively build and manage a robust sales pipeline and new business opportunity funnel to consistently meet short-term sales goals.
- Collaborate with the Channel team to support distributor and channel activities.
Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary daily point of contact for assigned accounts, maintaining up-to-date customer profiles and contact records in the CRM system.
- Provide immediate, basic technical support to customers; quickly assess the depth of technical issues and escalate or investigate with Wolfspeed’s engineers/scientists as needed.
- Build strong working relationships with customer stakeholders across procurement, engineering, and supply chain teams.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive communication and proactive follow-ups.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Actively Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Korean Automotive and Industrial & Energy markets to expand the existing customer base and increase market penetration for current applications.
- Present the Wolfspeed Value Proposition to prospective clients, focusing on business drivers for using Power products in both existing and emerging applications.
- Gather on-the-ground competitive market intelligence and customer feedback regarding technical roadblocks, providing factual updates to management to support product marketing and development.
- Identify and propose new product opportunities to core business teams based on direct customer needs, timing, and alignment with Wolfspeed’s core competencies.
- Continuously explore new approaches to improve customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Power Electronics preferred)
- Strong motivation to build a career in semiconductor sales
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive attitude with a high level of energy and initiative
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally
- Preferred:
- Technical degrees (e.g., Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Power Electronics)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or related fields (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Experience in semiconductor, automotive, or/and industrial markets
- Understanding of basic semiconductor sales processes or customer engagement practices
