The Role
Job Description SummaryThe Sales Account Manager will have broad accountability to drive the success of the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear (GVH) business through commercial sales and relationship management. This role will be directly responsible for opportunity development through order closure with assigned strategic customers. The role will partner with our Deal Structuring group and the business teams in our Nuclear Services and Global Nuclear Fuels business to develop customer specific short and long term commercial strategies. Additionally, this role will support long-term planning and contribute to the overall GVH business strategy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will: 

  • Work within a geographic area and/or with a specific customer where you are responsible for building long-term relationships and understanding client needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact across the customer’s organization, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and customer loyalty.
  • Coordinate with GVH nuclear fuels and services business teams on client specific sales strategies for GVH products, services, parts, solutions, projects, and multi-year agreements.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations in line with company guidelines.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and pipeline growth targets by executing strategic account plans for relevant products or services.
  • Keep GVH leadership team up to date on market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to inform sales and business growth strategies.
  • Support the design and deployment of scalable and repeatable processes to simplify customer opportunities and sell products and services that increase wallet share across product lines.
  • Maintain and update standard terms agreements to facilitate and simplify customer interactions and orders.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 years of nuclear industry experience in a sales position, services delivery role, plant operations or plant maintenance role.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of nuclear plant operations, maintenance and nuclear fuel cycles.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer facilities on a regular monthly rhythm and up to 50% of the time during key negotiation cycles.
  • This remote based position is located in the Chicago IL area, with travel to GVH Headquarters in Wilmington NC on an occasional basis. Relocation assistance provided.
  • GVH will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration or related engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated sales funnel management, along with contract terms and long-term agreement negotiations
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, experience in Lean and developing standard work
  • Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex sales information in a clear and concise manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated Program/Project management skills
  • Clear thinking / problem-solving: successfully led cross-functional negotiations, projects and process improvement within sales functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas

The base pay range for this position is $128,000 to $170,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday, November 7th.

 

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
