About the role:
Come make an impact on the success of Red Hat's business. The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join us in the Mid Atlantic region. In this role, you will be assigned specific accounts and customers and work to gain a better understanding of the challenges some of our biggest customers are facing. You'll collaborate with these accounts to discover new opportunities, use past solutions as blueprints for future success, and build relationships with C-level executives to guide technological decision making. As a Sales Account Manager, you’ll need to have experience selling technology in the general commercial sector.
What You will do:
Sell the complete Red Hat’s portfolio of solutions within assigned enterprise accounts
Create strategic and tactical plans and guide the extended sales team to maximize revenue and growth; meet performance and sales goals
Manage complex sales cycles from prospecting to closing
Maintain and develop new relationships within your assigned accounts
Excel within a fast-paced organization
Apply your extensive knowledge of middleware, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), cloud computing (public, private, and hybrid), and DevOps
What You will bring:
5-10 years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry
Experience selling in both direct and partner models
Knowledge of and passion for open source technology
Ability to call widely into your accounts in the areas of application development, architecture, operations, leadership (C-suite), and lines of business
Understanding of complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing
Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple solutions and services
Proven history of exceptional quota attainment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in business, marketing, or a technical discipline
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
