This position’s typical schedule is 40 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends.
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

Responsibilities- Develop, execute and strengthen business relationships, at the district level and with the customer, Renovia
- Develop a strategy of selling opportunities and identify items or product categories that require specific attention in support of this strategy.
- Develop, support and strengthen field level relationships with paint contractors (subcontractors)
- Develop and implement an annual Sherplan
- Develop a weekly selling plan and conduct sales calls accordingly, in conjunction with servicing Store/Branch Managers and/or District Sales Manager with call activity documented on Shercall and submitted to the District Office weekly.
- Assist in determining color and design needs and identified opportunity accounts and advise district management of support needed.
- Determine where customers are in the overall selling process and what steps are necessary to move the process along.
- Collect reliable information, including annual projected projects within the target market.
- Conduct competitive product testing and comparisons to Sherwin-Williams and identify current competitors’ strengths and weaknesses and Sherwin-Williams competitive advantage.
- Play an active role in training Renovia & its employees, supporting paint contractors, Sherwin-Williams employees and other market related organizations/customers when the topic of coatings and/or application techniques are discussed.
- Conduct product demos to support the selling process.
- Access product data and technical information to support customers’ application requirements.
- Identify specific product lines and quantities that must be carried in inventory to support the needs of the clients and consistently communicate these needs with supporting stores.
- Monitor inventory levels, on a district level, these key products as directed by District/Sales Manager.
- Actively participate in key associations/organizations of target markets to include participation on supplier related committees and advisory boards.
- Coordinate activity with local Sherwin-Williams staff to ensure that we maximize our sales potential.
- Handle customer complaints within lines of authority and manage process to resolution.
- Understand servicing stores strengths and weaknesses and communicate effectively with
the appropriate staff members to ensure that commitments made are within the store’s capabilities. - Complete required Shercall and expense reports on a timely basis.
- Call on the Renovia account identified by the individual along with District Managers, Sales Managers and Reps., and approved by Vice President of Sales.
- Actively participate in key associations/organizations in target markets to include participation on supplier-related committees and advisory boards. Coordinate activity with local people to ensure Sherwin-Williams maximizes our sales potential.
- Work with local Reps in target markets to maintain knowledge of field activity, evaluate competitor products/services, and develop relationships with key Painting Contractors working for target accounts.
- Play an active role in meeting and training sessions for Sherwin-Williams or market related organizations/customers when the topic of coatings specifications or products are discussed.
- Monitor and follow-up within the District, as well as across District boundaries, to ensure specifications obtained culminate in actual sales.
- Supply information to District/Sales Managers regarding activity results and plans.
- Assist store manager/district in resolution of product supply problems.
- Work with division marketing in evaluating product performance, establishing needs and on-going observation of competition.
- Coordinate new product and program introductions to clients.
- Conduct annual customer surveys and market analysis.
- To develop, support and strengthen business relationships with Renovia and coordinating the servicing of this account with the local store.

Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have at least three (3) years of work experience as a Sales Representative selling paint, paint related products, and/or floorcovering
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Must be able to perceive the difference in color
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion
