An enterprise client is seeking a JHA Analyst/Safety Specialist to support onsite safety operations for a project based in Brownsville, Texas. This role plays a critical part in promoting a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance, conducting hazard analyses, and supporting safety initiatives across teams.
The selected candidate will work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders in a fast-paced, onsite environment. This is a hands-on role requiring active participation in daily operations, safety meetings, and training programs.
Job Description- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
- Attend and actively contribute to weekly onsite meetings and safety discussions.
- Support and participate in safety training sessions conducted in 2–3 week cycles.
- Lead and assist in safety meetings, including risk assessments and safety briefings.
- Provide onsite safety support to both internal and client teams.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Participate in a dedicated 1-week onsite safety meeting, along with ongoing weekly sessions.
- Work extended schedules (Monday–Saturday, 10-hour days) during active project phases.
- Experience in safety operations, hazard analysis, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and safety risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to lead and facilitate safety meetings and training sessions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to risk identification.
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite, team-based environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours during project phases.
