The Emergency Medical Technician/Safety Officer performs daily door monitoring checks and conducts scheduled internal and external rounds. He/she is responsible for responding immediately to all emergency situations in the community and is required to demonstrate the acts and principles of exemplary customer service to all internal and external customers at all times.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The EMT Safety Officer is responsible for responding immediately to all emergency situations in the community—practices proper First Responder protocols and life safety policies and procedures.

Assists the Safety Director with random mock testing and training of staff to ensure emergency preparedness. The EMT Safety Officer is the highest-trained medical response officer within the Safety Department.

Makes scheduled rounds across the community, both inside and outside the buildings, to maintain a secure environment for residents and their property, employees, as well as company property. Medical bag/A.E.D. should always accompany EMT Safety Officer making rounds.

Receives all persons who enter the Community at the Safety Kiosk in a courteous manner, informs, guides, directs, or otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff, or vendors tactfully and congenially to protect and present the best possible image of the Community.

Assists with daily door monitoring checks, maintains departmental emergency equipment and supplies to ensure proper functioning, ensures compliance with policies & procedures, and reports all discrepancies and unsafe conditions to the Safety Director.
Regularly maintain contact/communication with other Safety personnel during the course of the shift.
The EMT Safety Officer is required to demonstrate the acts and principles of exemplary customer service/hospitality to all internal and external customers at all times. Responding to and documenting customer complaints professionally.
QUALIFICATIONS:

CALIFORNIA STATE EMT CERTIFICATION

Current CPR with AED.

Eighteen years of age or older.

High School Diploma or GED.
-
Ability to speak, read and understand English in addition to strong written skills.
