Summary: We’re looking for a compliance-minded professional responsible for leading safety and regulatory initiatives across plant operations and field activities. This role manages safety and compliance projects from design through execution, ensuring alignment with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations. The position works cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, HR, engineering, and leadership teams to embed safety into daily operations and business processes. In addition, the Safety & Compliance Manager partners closely with our European colleagues to align global safety standards, policies, and best practices while maintaining strict adherence to evolving U.S. and state regulatory requirements.

Plant Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of plant safety and compliance programs in accordance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations

  • Manage safety and compliance projects, including policy development, training rollouts, audits, and corrective action initiatives

  • Stay current on changes to U.S. and state safety regulations and proactively update company programs to ensure continuous compliance

  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks and drive corrective and preventive actions

  • Maintain OSHA logs, regulatory documentation, training records, and compliance reporting

  • Lead accident, injury, and near-miss investigations with root cause analysis and long-term prevention planning

  • Deliver ongoing safety training and awareness programs for plant employees, field teams, and leadership

  • Drive a proactive safety culture focused on accountability, risk reduction, and continuous improvement

  • Work cross-functionally with operations, HR, engineering, and leadership to integrate safety into workflows and project planning

  • Collaborate with European safety teams to align global safety frameworks while ensuring full compliance with U.S. regulatory standards

Driver & Field Safety Compliance

  • Manage fleet operations, including maintenance schedules, inspections, repairs, and lifecycle planning.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure fleet readiness and reliability

  • Develop and manage driver safety compliance programs, policies, and training initiatives

  • Ensure adherence to motor vehicle safety regulations, insurance requirements, and internal safety standards

  • Track safety metrics, incidents, and trends to continuously improve field safety performance

  • Lead vehicle incident investigations and corrective action implementation

  • Maintain driver safety documentation, training certifications, and compliance records

  • Partner cross-functionally to promote consistent safety practices across all field operations

Qualifications & Education

  • High school diploma required; safety, EHS, or operations coursework preferred

  • 3–5+ years of experience in safety compliance, EHS, or industrial safety roles

  • Strong experience managing regulatory compliance initiatives and safety programs

  • Experience managing fleet operations, vehicle safety programs, maintenance coordination, or driver compliance.

  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and U.S. workplace safety standards

  • OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 strongly preferred)

  • Proven project management skills related to safety programs and compliance initiatives

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and compliance-focused

  • Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence teams

  • Excellent communication and training capabilities

  • Ability to stay current with evolving federal and state safety regulations

  • Willingness to travel periodically to operational and field locations

Skills Required

  • 3-5+ years of experience in safety compliance, EHS, or industrial safety roles
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and U.S. workplace safety standards
  • OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 strongly preferred)
  • Proven project management skills related to safety programs and compliance initiatives
