What You'll Do:
- Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
- Authoring SDSs independently or with support using tools like 3E Generate, SAP EHS, or WERCS
- Supporting classification and hazard communication for products under UN GHS, EU CLP, REACH, US OSHA, WHMIS (HPR), and Japan’s JIS Z 7252 / JIS Z 7253
- Assisting with or leading first-time SDS creation for new products
- Participating in or owning client meetings in Japanese to explain technical information, address regulatory questions, and localize global processes
- Collaborating with cross-functional global teams to ensure service quality
- Helping tailor and translate GPS processes for the Japanese market
- Contributing to documentation, training, and support, based on your level

- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field such as chemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, etc.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency and high business-level English (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and collaborate across time zones
- Located in Japan; preference for those in the Tokyo area, but remote options available for experienced candidates
- SDS authoring experience using 3E Generate (strongly preferred), SAP EHS, WERCS, or similar tools
- Familiarity with global regulations and hazard classification: GHS, CLP, REACH, JIS Z 7252 / 7253, HPR, etc.
- Client-facing or consulting experience
- Strong learning agility and ability to take initiative with minimal oversight
- Entry-level familiarity with AI tools for translation or drafting
