We are seeking a Safety Coordinator at our Chandler, AZ facility.


Job Summary

This position will be responsible for coordinating the safety activities throughout the facility. This includes being directly responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuance of the facility safety, health policies, and procedures. Standard working hours are Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm with occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel is required for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the safety program and initiates steps that will improve the level of
  • Reviews and updates the safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company goals and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Makes sure all new employees are properly
  • Reviews safety related documents and narratives such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspection checklist, accident investigation reports and near miss reports.
  • Maintains the OSHA 300
  • Maintains liaison between management and outside regulatory agencies in accordance with Company policy and statutory guidelines.
  • Chairs the safety
  • Keeps records of all employee training, corrections of unsafe conditions, dates and results of workplace inspections.
  • Submits necessary documentation to the corporate office for
  • Maintains all weekly, monthly, and yearly, safety
  • Maintains all hazardous material and hazardous material area
  • Maintains the MSDS log
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Computer operations
  • Basic mathematics
  • Knowledge of
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and plant
  • Knowledge of CPR and First
  • Knowledge of quality
  • Experience in and/or general awareness of air regulations and permit compliance
Education and Experience:
  • Required:
    • High School Diploma required
    • Three Years of Safety Experience
    • OSHA Certifications
    • First Aid/CPR/AED certification
  • Preferred:
    • Associate's Degree or Technical College Degree
    • Bi-lingual
Working Conditions:
  • Manufacturing Plant environment where the plants may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings.
  • Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00
  • Occasional overtime or weekends
    • Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production
    • Safety toe shoes (steel/composite).
    • Flame-resistant rated Maintenance uniform
    • Other PPE as defined by management within the assigned role
