The Safety Compliance Specialist will define, direct, and administer the application of safety and occupational health laws and standards to insure a safe and healthy work environment for install teams and technicians.
Your tasks
Summary of primary Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, ensure and control safety and compliance in the organization as per the law, OSHA and organization's policy.
- Develop and maintain corporate safety procedures and Safety Manual for on-site installations and service work
- Customer On-Site Advance Preparations: complete customer/site specific Safety Surveys, Documentation and vendor credential requirements; advance drug testing and background checks; safety training for specialized industry (oil/gas/chemicals) requirements
- Oversee, track and document Kardex safety trainings for employees/installation teams including contracted training (Lancaster), on-line OSHA training and customer site specific training.
- Develop in-company standards for employee certification renewal requirements and renewals.
- Track, document and report on prevailing wages as required for government reporting.
- Work jointly with Kardex Training team to develop any new/required Safety trainings and practice simulations.
- Review and maintain annual Safety Contractor Evaluations and Memberships (ISN/Avetta/Complyworks/Contractor Compliance/Highwire)
- Investigate accidents
- Perform safety audits
- Manage safety records
