Position Summary
The Safety & Claims Administrator is responsible for supporting the organization’s safety program through the administration of workers’ compensation, general liability, and vehicle claims. This position also manages vehicle camera systems, maintains safety documentation and training records, and provides administrative support to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties
- Administer all workers’ compensation claims from initial report through claim closure.
- Coordinate with injured employees, supervisors, insurance carriers, medical providers, and third-party administrators.
- Manage general liability and automobile liability claims, ensuring timely reporting and documentation.
- Maintain claim files and monitor claim status, costs, and return-to-work activities.
- Serve as the primary administrator for the company’s vehicle camera monitoring system.
- Review vehicle camera footage to identify safety concerns, policy violations, and coaching opportunities.
- Generate reports related to vehicle events, accidents, and claims.
- Maintain employee safety training records and documentation.
- Prepare, update, and distribute safety manuals, policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Assist with new employee safety orientation and ongoing safety training programs.
- Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, and other regulatory documentation as required.
- Track corrective actions following incidents and ensure completion.
- Prepare reports and analyze safety and claims trends for management.
- Maintain confidential employee and claim information.
- Provide general administrative support to the Safety Department, including filing, data entry, scheduling, correspondence, and record retention.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience; safety, risk management, insurance, or claims administration experience preferred.
- Experience managing workers’ compensation, general liability, or fleet claims preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with incident management or claims management software.
- Experience administering fleet telematics or vehicle camera monitoring systems.
- Experience maintaining safety training records and compliance documentation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.

Pay
$24-$32 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
