The role

The Safety Advisor provides professional and timely advice on a wide range of safety matters across the business, with the objective of maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. You will have a strong field-based focus and be the first point of contact for our people in relation to safety practices. This role will take ownership of coordinating safety and Wellbeing training, programs, and initiatives that keep our teams safe and informed. Support and lead incident investigations using a systems-based approach, identifying root causes, contributing factors and opportunities for improvement to strengthen organisational learning and prevent recurrence.

You will also draw on your passion for health, safety and wellbeing and experience in engaging people to provide assurance through site inspections and audits in the field, promoting innovative thinking and the continuous improvement of organisational safety and wellbeing practices. Access to a fleet vehicle will be available for field operations.

The Safety Advisor will develop and deliver improvements to our focus on safety, in addition to having a pivotal role in our various internal committees along with regular reporting requirements of our safety statistics, including our lead and lag indicators. You will also use your ability to apply OHS legislation to actively contribute to the cyclical review of OHS policies and procedures and delivering on our strategic objectives.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
