POSITION PURPOSE:
Position is based in the Downtown branch and is responsible for supporting all aspects of safe deposit operations for the Downtown branch, including oversight of safe deposit box procedures across three markets. Serves a critical role in managing risk in safe deposit by being knowledgeable in safe deposit policies and procedures and communicating effectively with branch personnel and management. Serves as the Sales Reporting Management Administrator with iSTEP &/or CRM for Central Bank of Boone County, Audrain County, and Moberly. Provides operational support to the Consumer Banking Division.
DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY:
Supports the management of all aspects of safe deposit operations for the Downtown branch and assists with safe deposit operations across all branches in three markets. Has daily contact with customers and employees from all branches. Promotes a team atmosphere providing Legendary Service to customers and co-workers while ensuring branch operations are in accordance with Branch Control Manual and safe deposit standards. Trains new employees in safe deposit procedures as needed. Responsible for daily service in the safe deposit area, including allowing customers access to boxes, opening, and closing boxes, making changes to contracts, and changing locks. Serves as a key resource for handling complex safe deposit requests and transactions, providing expert support to customers and the branch network. Responsible for annual safe deposit billing, sending out late notices and collecting past-due rent. Assists with safe deposit drillings at all branches. Responsible for assisting with regular safe deposit audits of the branches, requiring regular travel within the market territory. The primary purpose is to conduct audits ensuring adherence of the Branch Control Manual as it applies to safe deposit procedures, and regulatory standards at various branch locations. Serves as the primary safe deposit resource for bank employees and customers. Responsible for making decisions regarding access to boxes based on proper identification and procedures. Prioritizes work functions which must be performed. Responsible for maintaining all safe deposit logs and for minor cleaning of the vault metal. Serves as the Sales Reporting Management Administrator for Consumer Banking division with the iSTEP/CRM sales & incentive tracking program. Responsible for training employees and troubleshooting issues. Creates and generates reports, researches discrepancies, and serves as a resource for all bank users. Reports indirectly to the Regional Sales Managers with the responsibilities of iSTEP/CRM administration, working closely with Managers to ensure appropriate usage. Maintains a diligent review of iSTEP &/or CRM data to identify trends or inconsistencies and take appropriate action. Must adhere to confidentiality expectations. Serve as a subject matter expert during the implementation of Microsoft CRM, providing training, guidance, best practices, troubleshooting issues and ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition and effective utilization of the platform across the branches. Following the implementation, these responsibilities will continue as an integral part of the role. Collaborate with Consumer Banking and branch leadership to identify pain points and solutions to promote efficient, daily interaction with the software. Interacts with other Consumer Banking and Bank employees to complete customer and employee requests. In absence of Lobby Receptionist, serves in the role of receptionist as well as performing other duties. When serving as receptionist, relocation to the reception area is needed while completing regular daily tasks. Duties within the Receptionist role include greeting and escorting customers, answering phones, communicating with branch staff, and monitoring activity within the Lobby. Provides Legendary Service to customers, and coworkers, while establishing strong relationships. Provides accuracy, service, strong sales ability, and efficiency in support of coworkers. Assists with various duties and projects as assigned by Consumer Banking Management. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
Preferred QualificationsHigh school education or equivalent with GED. General education at college level is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer relations skills. Strong attention to detail with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong analysis skills to oversee usage and accuracy of entries within the customer relationship management program. The safe deposit area is a high-risk area and attention to detail is critical. Must work well with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive, professional manner. Good judgment and ability to handle confidential information and work quickly and accurately to analyze information and make decisions is required. Should demonstrate ability to proactively assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects. Successful completion of in-house training programs is required. Must be comfortable managing schedules to accommodate travel and possess a valid driver’s license.
