At itslearning, we’re making a real difference for millions of teachers and students around the world, and now we’re looking for a new SaaS Operations Manager to join our mission.
 

As our SaaS Operations Manager, you’ll be key to keeping our platform reliable, scalable, and secure. Leading a skilled team of eight engineers who shares your drive for excellent cloud engineering, you’ll work closely with our Development and Support Managers to keep our 24/7 operations running smoothly. Reporting to our Technology Manager, you’ll have a direct impact on shaping our operational strategy and making it happen. Here’s what you can expect:

• Tech Stack: Our platform is hosted on AWS, and we use tools and services like Terraform, ECS, EC2, Splunk, and Zabbix. You’ll be part of a team that’s constantly optimising, learning, and evolving, releasing new features every week.
• Impactful Work: Your work will help ensure the stability, security, and performance of a platform that’s used by millions. You’ll be responsible for improving key ISO 27001 certified processes, from monitoring and autoscaling to crisis management and supplier management.
• Collaboration: We believe in teamwork. As part of our operations team, you’ll work cross-functionally with other departments to make sure our platform serves our users with the highest quality possible.

Is This You?

We’re looking for someone who is:

• A positive and accountable leader who can motivate and guide a team on day-to-day and larger projects
• A good communicator who is able to talk tech with engineers and non-nerds alike
• A seasoned technologist with a background in development, DevOps, or IT operations
• Strong knowledge of AWS, ISO 27001, and IT management practices
• Analytical, organised, and proactive in finding solutions
• Ready to roll up your sleeves and collaborate with cross-functional teams

A degree in Computer Science (BSc or MSc) or a related field is a plus, but what matters most is your experience, people skills, and drive.
