The SaaS Implementation Engineer is part of the SaaS Enablement team within Varian’s Multi-Disciplinary Oncology business unit. We are responsible for the efficient delivery of SaaS implementation projects.
We are seeking an organized individual with excellent communication skills to support MDO implementations. In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers and Customer Success Managers to deliver on implementation projects. This role is a contributing member of a deployment team responsible to deliver multiple SaaS offerings to Varian's vast customer base.

Role Description:

  • Build credibility with technical, clinical, and business stakeholders. Be comfortable discussing and configuring network connectivity to the Varian Cloud (AWS and Azure), setting up/troubleshooting HL7 messaging, Cloverleaf, addressing security configuration needs/concerns, discussing, and configuring VPNs, Whitelisting, and working cross-functionally within Varian to deliver a memorable, positive customer experience
  • Provide customer-facing technical expertise, primarily during implementation, across domains such as networking, data interoperability, security, and operations for Varian's Software-as-Service portfolio
  • Serve as an active part of the SaaS Enablement Team to deliver a successful implementation from kick-off through go-live
  • Develop and foster relationships with the internal customers: SaaS project team, other partners inside Varian’s network
  • Update and maintain customer cloud supported products environments as needed
  • Compile status reports to the assigned project manager/manager
  • Collect and analyze data providing feedback identifying opportunities to improve the implementation and customer satisfaction
  • Performs cloud product installations and configuration, as well as on premise connectivity, using system tools where available for implementation and upgrades
  • Promptly respond to incidents and other events as necessary
  • Works with cloud-based and on premise (physical and virtual) environments, operating systems, databases and other software and networking technologies
  • Reviews scope of work for assigned tasks and tracks to completion
  • Reviews customer IT infrastructure and project plans to ensure they meet documented installation requirements
  • Completes all necessary task documentation to meet Varian’s Quality processes and procedures
  • Requires limited direct supervision
  • Attend planning calls and provide technical input as needed
  • Complete company provided training within prescribed timelines
  • Reports to the Director of the SaaS Enablement Team

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Able to work in fast paced environment and on multiple tasks in organized, efficient manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer experience ratings
  • 2-5 years’ experience
  • Cooperative and composed, good team player
  • Willingness to travel to designated events 15% travel required
  • Professional fluency in English

Typical Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline with some post-Graduate work (or equivalent experience).
  • Required: experience using Microsoft Office suite, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Required: Experience in IT, Cloud and Networking
  • Desired: Experience with Flowchart and Diagraming Software
