Lead and own production planning for UL1741 electrical cabinets, harnesses, overmold fuses and fabricated components (copper bus bars, steel panels, pile caps). Ensure on-time delivery, optimal inventory, capacity utilization, cost control, quality, and safety by partnering with engineering, procurement, business development and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own short-, mid-, and long-term production plans and master production schedules (MPS) aligned to demand, sales forecasts and business priorities.
  • Drive ERP/MRP parameterization, data integrity and change management for production, capacity and resource planning.
  • Lead S&OP / demand-supply reconciliation and translate business plans into a robust product supply plan across the time horizon.
  • Oversee BOM/route validation in ERP and identify material/lead-time gaps to create WIP-feasible schedules.
  • Manage material planning and collaborate with Procurement to secure components and maintain safety stock and reorder policies.
  • Allocate capacity and resources across lines; identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions (shift changes, subcontracting, CAPEX).
  • Own inventory strategy and KPIs to minimize stockouts and excess inventory while supporting service targets.
  • Improve planning processes and drive productivity gains measured by OEE, lead time reduction, and inventory turns; lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the production planning team; set objectives, conduct performance reviews and succession planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to prioritize production, resolve issues and ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Produce and present regular reporting and analytics (schedule adherence, OTD, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization); recommend actions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality (ISO 9002), safety and company policies in planning activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field; MBA or advanced supply chain certification preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in production planning or manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role; experience with electrical, harness, or fabricated components preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with S&OP, capacity planning, inventory optimization and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder-management and leadership skills.
  • APICS- CPIM/ SCM, Lean Green/ Black Belt certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio and familiarity with BI/reporting tools.

Working Conditions:
