Here at GE Aerospace, we invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely. GE Aerospace interns at our Rutland, VT site, will gain exposure to varied areas of manufacturing and support services for a world class airfoil manufacturer. The 2026 summer internship opportunity is expected to start in June 2026 (dependent on school schedules) and last around 8-10 weeks. The workweek is a 40-hour week, 8 hrs./day, Mon-Fri. Shifts begin between 6am and 7am each day, although some may vary based on the team.
Our 2026 summer internship placements include opportunities for local students and recent graduates in maintenance, AutoCAD, IT, engineers, safety, and finance. Experienced leaders will mentor interns and ensure learning during their assignments. Interns will build functional skills through structured and challenging hands-on experience. Pay will be $20/hr. for high school level interns and $22/hr. for college level interns.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in high school, have a HS diploma or equivalent education completed within the last 6 months, be enrolled in a relevant college program, or have completed a relevant college study program within the last 6 months.
Preference will be given to applicants who have studied in or recently completed a relevant technical program or have recently taken courses relevant to the internship.
Background check, drug screen and physical required. Candidates under 18 years of age need parent/guardian approval.
This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
