POSITION SUMMARY
The Pre-Finisher installs all door sills, rub rails, fenderettes, roll up doors, steps, running boards, and tail board. They will be required to fabricate intermediate steps and other fabrication needed. As a Pre-Finisher, they will bend and cut sheets of metal as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
- Installs all door sills, rub rails, fenderettes, roll up doors, steps, running boards, and tail board.
- Fabricates intermediate steps and other fabrication needed.
- Bends and cuts sheets of metal as needed.
- Measures and cuts out flat doors for each truck's specifications.
- Welds to complete the fabrication process as needed.
- Utilizes basic hand tools, shear, and brake press.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S):

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Welding Experience required.
- 1 year of experience using a shear and break press.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Math:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

- Knowledge of basic inspection tools, machining skills or related fields.
- Able to recognize the importance and adhere to all safety policies to promote a safe working environment.
- Able to read and work from blueprints/spec book.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and tape measure
