Job Description

Position Purpose

The role of RPA Development is to build Blue Prism solutions in accordance with the Solution Design documents and recommended Best Practices. Support the RPA lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of an appropriately tailored RPA solution that provides the optimum platform for rapid and repeatable delivery of automated processes.

The role of the RPA Control lead is to design and manage control processes and tools to make sure that any new developments transitioned into the production environment do not add any risk to existing RPA automations or the Operations environment itself.

Location: UK or Madrid

  • Develop and deploy live processes that follow Best practices.
  • Quality Assurance metrics

Major/Key Accountabilities

RPA Development

  • Assess process requirements in conjunction with process analysts to communicate any process risks and/or issues and suggest improvements to the process in order to deliver the automated solutions.
  • Designing Blue Prism process solutions in accordance with standard Blue Prism design principles and conventions.
  • Configuring new Blue Prism processes and objects using best practice principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
  • Creating and maintaining solution documentation.
  • Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
  • Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of Blue Prism processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
  • Identifying reusable functionality and implementing it as a reusable component.
  • Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases.
  • Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases.
  • Help to drive standardization of business processes across multiple regions, working closely with process owners and technical teams.
  • Work with system analysts on application support that will be automated.

RPA Control

  • Design control processes and tools to make sure that any new developments transitioned into the production environment do not add any risk to existing RPA automations or the Operations environment itself.
  • Identify Quality Assurance controls and metrics so level of control can be measured and reported on a regular basis.
  • Manage control processes & tools
  • Train RPA stakeholders involved in control processes to make sure new ways of working are adopted and followed
  • Own the RPA release into production process and governance

Qualifications

  • Experience with software development / coding / programming concepts
  • Robotics Process Automation project experience
  • Should be analytical and able to improvise configuration / coding to new situations
  • Understands development methodology and lifecycle
  • Experience in process design and management

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and with proposing new concepts
    Ability to work independently, or in groups, effectively
  • Good inter-personal communication skills
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
  • Experience with RPA technologies (e.g. Blue Prism)
  • Experience with Process Analysis, Design, and Implementation, Business and Technical requirements, Problem-Solving, and System(s) Testing, including UAT
  • Should be able to Prioritise and manage Multiple Portfolio.
