Main Ingredients of the Job!
As a US FOODS® Router, you will be responsible for scheduling and sequencing routes in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner using computerized programs (RoadNet and Mainframe). These routes will be built cost-effective and will match maintaining customer needs.
Great Routers are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Router strives for integrity and reliability while building trust by working directly with Sales and Warehouse Departments to determine delivery practicality.
What you bring to the table
Education/Training:
-
High School Diploma/ required
Related Experience/Requirements:
-
6 months of router experience required
-
Computer skills – data entry, general report generation, spreadsheet design
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
-
Utilizing specified software, route trucks by matching customer orders to appropriate loads assigned to trucks.
-
Utilizing specified software, balance loads per trailer by size and weight of product and pallets to be loaded.
-
Build cost-effective routes while maintaining customer needs.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
The expected base rate for this role is between 16.01 - 26.71 USD Hour.
As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.
