WHO YOU ARE
- An experienced roof plumber with 3+ years in roofing installation and construction.
- You must be an Australian citizen to meet security clearance requirements.
- Qualified with a Certificate IV in Roof Plumbing or equivalent (highly preferred).
- Licensed with White Card, High Risk Work license (HRW), Elevating Work Platform (EWP) license, Driver’s licence, and hold a National Police Clearance.
- Competent in Working at Heights and preferably trained in First Aid.
- Possess detailed technical knowledge of roofing materials, construction standards, installation techniques, repair methods, and maintenance.
- Skilled in interpreting project plans and specifications with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with experience supervising teams and managing stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to mentor trades assistants and apprentices, promoting continuous learning and best practices.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Follow plan specifications to install, maintain, and repair roofing and drainage systems according to company standards.
- Install and maintain gutters, downpipes, safety mesh, insulation, vapour barriers, roofing, cladding materials, and flashings.
- Fabricate roofing materials and shape metal sheeting and flashings as required.
- Interpret drawings and construction plans to determine materials and apply workflows.
- Work under supervision of Roofing Supervisor and Site Supervisors to plan and complete projects on time and within standards.
- Identify and escalate technical issues to supervisors promptly.
- Provide guidance and training to Apprentice Roof Plumbers and trades assistants, leading by example.
- Adhere strictly to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) requirements, including inductions, PPE, hazard reporting, and participation in toolbox meetings.
- Report incidents, injuries, safety hazards, and faulty tools to site management.
- Perform other duties within scope and experience as directed.
