Role: SAP Basis & API Specialist
Location: Skillman, NJ- Hybrid
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience Needed: 8+ Years
We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis & API to support and manage SAP system operations while integrating modern API and DevOps practices. You’ll work with SAP Basis components and also help connect SAP systems to external platforms using API gateways and automation tools.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Manage SAP system setup, upgrades, performance tuning, and migrations
- Perform database management for SAP systems
- Configure and manage API Gateways to connect SAP with other platforms
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for system integration
- Design, document, and support RESTful APIs (using Swagger/OpenAPI 3.0)
- Work within UNIX/Linux environments for system-level operations
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure teams to integrate APIs into SAP systems
🧠 Required Skills:
- Strong experience with SAP Basis administration and DB management
- Hands-on experience with API management tools and gateway setup
- Knowledge of REST, JSON, XML, and API design best practices
- Familiar with tools like Swagger, OpenAPI 3.0
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux environments
- Experience using IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ, or Visual Studio
