Global innovation team
As our new Robotics Software Engineer, you will join a local, cross-functional Innovation & Development team consisting of highly skilled professionals in computer vision, robotics, user experience design, software architecture, and software development. The team operates in a global setup and collaborates closely with colleagues across locations and disciplines. The team's mission is to develop innovative products and systems for the logistics industry.
In your role as Robotics Software Engineer, you will:
- Develop, maintain, and debug software on industrial PCs and robotic platforms, including communication and computer vision applications.
- Configure, program, and integrate industrial robots and motion control systems.
- Work with geometric and spatial calculations related to robot motion, object positioning, and vision-guided applications.
- Participate in the development of new products, from early prototypes to market-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across disciplines and locations in a global organization.
Driving business value
You have a strong background in designing and implementing automation solutions across a range of software platforms. You are innovative, proactive, and capable of developing automation systems and software that enhance efficiency and create business value.
You bring the following qualifications to the role:
- A degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Experience with robotics and automation technologies, preferably from a similar or related industry.
- Experience developing near real-time software and solid knowledge of C#. Experience with Python, Docker, and microservice architecture is an advantage.
- Interest in robotics software and technologies, particularly in combination with computer vision applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of geometry and spatial reasoning, including the ability to model and calculate physical dimensions, positions, and movements in real-world systems.
