The Robotics Research Engineer is a full-time (100%) position at Trener reporting directly to Alejandro Astudillo, VP of R&D. The role is primarily located at the company's office in San Jose, California. The core focus of this role involves establishing and running the local robotics research laboratory, as well as bridging the gap between experimental designs and physical, functional setups.
Responsibilities
Operate the robotics research lab located in San Jose, California.
Translate experimental designs into working physical setups.
Collect demonstration data for robotics research.
Train learned policies and deploy them onto real robot hardware.
Develop supporting software pipelines.
Document the setups and procedures used within the laboratory.
Perform tasks within the framework of applicable legislation and the company's objectives.
Adhere to all current staff rules, ethical guidelines, and company procedures.
Travel as required by the position and perform work outside the ordinary workplace if necessary.
