About the Role 

As a Robotic Product Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements using Stryker’s Mako system. This position requires a high level of clinical knowledge, technical acumen, and the ability to thrive in the fast-paced environment of the operating theatre. 

You will be the primary clinical expert for the Mako system, providing real-time support during procedures and working closely with surgical teams to optimise patient outcomes. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures, providing technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff. 

  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries. 

  • Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning to assist in surgical case preparation. 

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology. 

  • Provide ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.

  • This role is ideal for someone with a strong clinical background and a passion for surgical innovation. You may come from fields such as: 

    • Orthopaedic clinical support 

    • Biomedical science/engineering 

    • Medical device experience 

    • Operating theatre nursing/registered nursing experience 

    • Physiotherapy or allied health

    • Paramedicine

Skills Required

  • Clinical background in orthopaedics, operating theatre nursing, allied health, physiotherapy, paramedicine, biomedical science/engineering, or medical device experience
  • Experience or strong familiarity with Stryker Mako robotic platform
  • Ability to perform pre-operative CT-based planning
  • Demonstrated operating theatre experience and ability to provide real-time in-theatre support
  • High level of orthopaedic surgical knowledge, anatomy understanding, and clinical judgement
