Work Schedule: Sunday – Thursday (including holidays), with variable finish times that may require overtime
Sun start time 4pm to completion
Mon – Thur start time 6pm to completion
Hourly Rate: $15.90
Main Ingredients of the Job!
As a US FOODS® Robo Wrapper associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of pallet builds and proper preparation for shipment to our customers to safeguard product from damage while loading and in transit.
To wrap all the outbound orders in the designated loading zones in compliance with company procedures and standards. This ensures the drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day’s deliveries.
Ensure all pallets are built according to preferred methods and wrapped from the bottom of the pallet to the top cases on each pallet to avoid damage during transport. Notify a supervisor of any issues.
Confirm condition of product prior to loading, including both cases and breakers.
Ensure work is completed in a productive and timely manner.
Keep pallets in work area wrapped according to dispatch times and on pace to avoid any hindrance in loader productivity.
Verify header labels are in upper right hand corner for the loader to easily locate.
Gather slip sheets and secure in an area close to wrapping stations to use during wrapping and inspection process.
Ensure work area is free of debris at all times. Help loaders by unloading trailers staged in doors that contain pallets, blankets, straps and any debris left in the trailer. Raise door, lock trailer to dock & lower dock plate.
Determine when produce blankets are no longer useable and alert a Lead or Supervisor to purchase. Dispose of soiled cooler blankets.
Ensure the Robo wrappers are clean and in good operational condition at all times
Do not allow excess shrink wrap to build up around guide wheel. Do not cut shrink wrap from rollers using a box cutter.
Do not place stickers on any part of the equipment.
Wipe down the equipment at end of shift each day.
Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.
Work in extreme temperatures of 100 + degrees and below freezing

What you bring to the table
Education/Training:
High School Education or GED preferred
Related Experience/Requirements:
A minimum of one-year warehouse experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Good attention to detail
Ability to read batch labels
Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Must be team oriented and able to get along with others

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $15.90 and $20.90
As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, and Freezer premium.
