Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting project managers in the planning and execution of roadway design projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines.
- Conducting engineering analysis and design for assigned projects.
- Designing complete projects, or components of projects, and preparing complete project documents.
- Applying engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff.
- May perform other duties associated with this role.
Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design
- Working knowledge of OpenRoads Designer.
- Willing to work as part of a team.
