Lochmueller Group is an engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure.  We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as a project engineer with responsibility for various local agency and/or DOT roadway design projects.
  • Assisting with project task management, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively. 
  • Delegating work to project team members.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance.
  • Assisting with the preparation of project scopes, budgets, and schedules. 
  • Coordinating with clients to understand project requirements and expectations. 
  • Taking a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation. 
  • Performing detailed engineering analysis and design tasks. 
  • Assisting with the preparation of complete project documents, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. 
  • Assisting upper level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.

Qualifications for this role:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio.
  • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design, including ODOT experience.
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to quality and excellence.  
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
