What you will do…
- Provide direct care to patient.
- Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
- Assist with the maintenance of PRE-OP/PACU equipment and inventory.
- Responsible for monitoring patient’s physiological status in the immediate, pre/postoperative environment.
- Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously, and as needed, about patient conditions. Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis.
- Demonstrate knowledge of airway management and procedures and the ability to use the equipment.
- Carry out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments and special procedures.
- Coordinate patient care: gives explanations and educates patient/family, as necessary.
- Protect patient’s sensitivities and right to privacy.
What we require…
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
- Current ACLS certification or ability to get within the first 90 days of employment
- Current BCLS certification preferred

Qualifications
Skills Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
- Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within first 90 days
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Ability to monitor patient's physiological status in pre/postoperative environment
- Knowledge of airway management and ability to use airway equipment
- Ability to carry out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments and procedures
- Ability to coordinate patient care and provide patient/family education
- Ability to maintain PRE-OP/PACU equipment and inventory
- Maintain patient privacy and professionalism
