Responsibilities:
- Responsible for seeing that approved standards of resident care are maintained and overseeing the quality of nursing care on assigned unit.
- Delegates responsibility for direct resident care activities to Nurse(s) assigned on unit.
- Responsible for supervising, evaluating, counseling, and coaching care members on assigned units.
- Responsible for identifying and resolving problems at the unit level.
- Keeps the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing informed of resident’s status through verbal communication and written reports.
- Makes daily rounds and checks acutely ill residents, admissions, and follows up on residents.
- Performs periodic audit of charting and documentation.
- Assures proper execution of physician's orders.
- Deals effectively, professionally, and tactfully with resident and family concerns.
- Submits weekly and monthly reports on statistics, meetings, and other pertinent information.
- Attends continuing education classes, seminars, workshops to maintain professional competency.
- Participates in on-call rotation with other nurse managers as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current NY State Registered Nurse License
- 2 years of Nursing Administration experience preferred

- Associate Degree
- BSN Preferred
$46.72 - $58.41 per hour
