As an RN Unit Coordinator, you will coordinate communication between patients, nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members while maintaining thorough and accurate documentation. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily activities of the nursing unit to ensure efficient workflow.
- Serve as a communication link between nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- Maintain accurate patient records, scheduling, and documentation.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Track and monitor patient care activities and staffing assignments.
- Support compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Address patient and family inquiries promptly with professionalism and empathy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate quality patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience in clinical nursing and/or healthcare unit coordination.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and office software.
