Join our team! Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community located between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro in Chatham County, NC. The RN Supervisor provides direct nursing care to residents, delegates, and supervises the care provided by nursing assistants. The RN Supervisor administers medications, performs treatments and procedures, obtains specimens as needed, and completes documentation as required. Follows facility policy and procedures and standards of NC nurse practice act.

RN Supervisor M-TH (11p-7a).

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides daily supervision to assigned staff and directly provides nursing care to residents in SNF, Assisted Living, Wellness Center, Dementia Unit, Independent Living Units as needed. Completes supervisor report and disseminates to administration.
  • Manages and monitors the care plans and participates in care plan meetings.
  • Administers medication and reorders medicines.
  • Responds to resident call system promptly and courteously.
  • Identifies resident medical and behavioral changes.
  • Reports critical information to supervisors and Director of Nursing.
  • Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living.
  • Monitors the environment to assure quality nursing care.
  • Participates and coordinates in the admission of new residents
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. All other duties assigned include, but not limited to, enhancing the Resident Experience.

Requirements

  • Aware of the needs of geriatric residents.
  • Mathematical skills, reasoning abilities, language skills are required.
  • Previous computer skills required to complete nursing schedule and required reports.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule. Understands that on occasion adjusted schedule to meet needs of facility with nursing staff shortages, inclement weather, disasters etc. may be needed.
  • Practices facility mission and core values (Caring, Integrity, Empowering, and Commitment).
  • RN License (Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred).

Skills Required

  • Active RN license
  • Associate degree in Nursing
  • Bachelor degree in Nursing
  • Experience with geriatric residents
  • Medication administration and nursing treatments experience
  • Ability to supervise and delegate to nursing assistants
  • Computer skills to complete schedules and required reports
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts
