Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (salary)
- Develops and oversees the implementation of the annual Risk Management Plan. Investigates sentinel events and reports to the appropriate regulatory body in conjunction with the department manager.
- Facilitates Root Cause Analysis (RCA) team meetings and follows up on outcomes and recommendations.
- Reviews medical records and collects data for risk management analysis, studies, and monitoring.
- Assists with activities related to the Grievance Process, including attending committee meetings.
- Provides education to employees regarding Risk Management Principles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organization skills, including completing work by established deadlines. [Required]
- Ability to evaluate and correlate clinical information with appropriate criteria and is able to utilize available computer hardware and software. [Required]
- Skills to develop and engage in educational activities to facilitate learners’ achievement of specific objectives. [Required]
Education:
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 1+ experience with teaching and/or leading evidence based project [Preferred]
- 3+ as acute care nurse [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) [Preferred]
