RN - Perinatal Educator of our Outpatient classes for expecting and new parents at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This is a Per-Diem position with variable shift hours during days, evenings, and weekends based on patient/community/department needs. Flexibility each month is needed due to outpatient classes being scheduled based on patient needs.
The Perinatal Educator will be involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of outpatient educational classes. They provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal education, including childbirth preparation, breastfeeding support, newborn care, infant safety, and CPR.

Our Labor and Delivery unit has 17 beds and offers 24-hour on-site OB anesthesia, OB triage, OB operating rooms and high-risk antepartum care. We deliver approximately 185 babies per month.

- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 1 year Nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- RN experience working in Maternal / Newborn Services
- BLS Instructor certification through American Heart Association or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- IBCLC or CLC Certification
- Childbirth Educator certification or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
