We are seeking compassionate and dependable RNs/LPNs to provide high-quality hospice care during extended weekend hours. This role is ideal for a nurse who is committed to supporting patients and families through the end-of-life journey and who understands the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.
Schedule & Service Area- Part-time weekend position
- Saturdays and Sundays
- 8:00 AM–PM
- Driving position serving patients throughout Columbus and Newark
- Must be comfortable driving during daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather
- Provide skilled nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Deliver care in accordance with professional nursing standards and hospice best practices.
- Accurately document patient care, services provided, and clinical information.
- Promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing with no current board actions.
- BSN preferred for RN candidates.
- Two years of acute-care nursing experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Hospice and Palliative Care certification (CHPN) preferred. Certification support is available to eligible Ohio's Hospice employees.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to complete electronic clinical documentation.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to maintain the state's minimum required automobile insurance coverage.
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
- Ability to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screening.
