Provides hospice and end-of-life nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams while documenting care and maintaining professional nursing standards. This full-time extended-hours role involves three 12-hour overnight shifts weekly, every other weekend, holiday coverage, and driving throughout Columbus.

Plans and delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, families, and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.   

  •  What You Should Know About the RN/LPN Extended Hours Role:  
    • This is a DRIVING position throughout Columbus
    • This is a Full-Time position:
      • 6p-6a 3 12 hour shifts a week and every other weekend. 
      • 2 holidays per year required.

    RN/LPN Extended Hours Qualifications:  

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.  Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
    • CPR Certified 
    • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain certification.
    • Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.  
    • Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather.
    • Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record  
    • State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage 
    • Must be able to pass a criminal background check 
    • Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen
